The last picture of Uruguayan Flight 571 before it crashed in the Andes on October 13, 1972. Out of the 45 people on board, 27 managed to survive the initial crash. It’s really sad that the survivors had to resort to cannibalism to stay alive. But after 72 days, 16 people were eventually rescued. It’s a truly remarkable story of survival against all odds.
