DC Young Fly is maintaining his faith during this holiday season, despite facing a challenging year that included the heartbreaking loss of his longtime partner, Jacky Oh!, and his sister.
In a conversation, he expressed that his main focus is creating a special Christmas for his three children that he shares with Jacky. During their family time together, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing prayer.
He’s got a strong belief that as long as you stay God-fearin’ and obedient, everything’s gonna be A-OK, even in the midst of pain and agony. He finds solace and strength in his faith, knowing that it will guide him through tough times.
DC really went through a lot this year, no doubt about it. After his partner Jacky passed away due to complications from a BBL back in May. It’s been a tough journey for him, dealing with such a tragic loss.
It’s heartbreaking that tragedy struck again in October when DC shared the devastating news of his sister’s passing. But through it all, he’s placing his trust in the higher power once again. On Instagram, he wrote, “GOD is love and love will always overcome adversity.” It’s amazing to see his resilience and determination to pay it forward. Despite his personal setbacks, he’s committed to giving back to the community this year, spreading love and showing people that there’s always hope.
He’s had some incredible moments to celebrate too! One of those exciting moments was when he got the chance to star alongside the legendary Eddie Murphy in the new Netflix Christmas movie, “Candy Cane Lane.”
DC considers the acting gig to be a true blessing. He believes that the experience showed him that God had his hands on him. It’s amazing how he finds comfort and guidance in his faith. And as he mentioned before, staying obedient is key.
