The enduring love between Emma Heming Willis and Bruce Willis reached a significant milestone as the couple celebrated 16 years together. Emma, 45, expressed her deep affection for the Hollywood icon in a touching social media post on December 27, accompanied by two photos capturing tender moments of the couple sharing a kiss on the cheek.

In her heartfelt caption, Emma reflected on the enduring bond they’ve shared over the years, saying, “16 years with this special man. My love and adoration for him only grows.”

The Instagram Story featured a reshare of the post with Emma expressing amazement at the passage of time, stating, “16 years together?! Lord, where did the time go?” In a subsequent slide, she added, “Smitten.”

Emma and Bruce, who exchanged vows in 2009, have built a blended family together, including daughters Mabel (11) and Evelyn (9). Bruce also has three daughters, Rumer (35), Scout (32), and Tallulah (29), from his previous marriage to Demi Moore.

In recent years, the Willis family has been candid about Bruce’s health challenges, particularly his battle with frontotemporal dementia, a more specific diagnosis received in February following an aphasia diagnosis in 2022.

The decision to openly discuss Bruce’s health struggles is rooted in a dual purpose, as explained by Tallulah on The Drew Barrymore Show in November. She emphasized the family’s commitment to being true to themselves while raising awareness about frontotemporal dementia.

“If we can take something that we’re struggling with as a family and individually, to help other people, to turn it around, to make something beautiful about it, that’s really special for us,” Tallulah said.

Emma, acting as Bruce’s caregiver, shared similar sentiments in an article for Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper in November. She expressed the importance of sharing their experiences to offer support to others facing similar challenges.

“I see that what I share matters to others who may be struggling and, in a small way, makes them feel seen and understood,” Emma wrote. “I want people to know that when I hear from another family affected by FTD, I hear our family’s same story of grief, loss, and immense sadness echoed in theirs.”

The couple’s journey, marked by love, resilience, and advocacy, stands as a testament to their enduring commitment to each other and their dedication to supporting those facing similar health struggles.
