Kanye West Blacklisted Over Anti-Semitic Remarks in 2022

Kanye West is facing the repercussions of his anti-Semitic social media posts, as he reveals he’s been unable to book any shows in the past year, which he attributes to his controversial comments.

Kany, known for his hit song “Stronger” and previous marriage to Kim Kardashian, made a controversial appearance on Alex Jones’ Infowars, where he perpetuated a conspiracy theory about the Sandy Hook massacre.

He made a shocking statement expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler, the infamous leader of Nazi Germany, and disturbingly refused to back down from his stance even when given the opportunity to reconsider his words.

Despite facing backlash and struggles to book gigs, Kanye West has successfully sold out the United Center in his hometown of Chicago, where he will take the stage at the iconic venue built by basketball legend Michael Jordan, a symbol of his own legacy.

It’s the only arena that I had access to in the past year,West said in a video on Instagram. “And when I call, people say there’s no avails for me, and you know why that is.

So if there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please. I have not been allowed to perform in a year. Feels like the Elvis Presley movie.”

Kanye was temporarily banned from Instagram on October 7, 2022, following backlash for sporting a White Lives Matter shirt, a symbol affiliated with white supremacy. He then reignited controversy by suggesting that Diddy, one of his critics, was being manipulated by Jewish people, perpetuating harmful stereotypes.

Twitter, then known as (X), took swift action three days later, before Elon Musk’s acquisition, by suspending Kanye West’s account due to a tweet perceived as threatening towards Jewish people, which came on the heels of comments targeting Mark Zuckerberg.

Kany’s controversial streak continued with an interview on Fox with Tucker Carlson, where he perpetuated harmful anti-Semitic stereotypes and conspiracy theories. He later attempted to attribute his behavior to his bipolar disorder, sparking outrage and concerns about exploiting mental health to justify hate speech.

Following his controversial remarks, Kanye West faced consequences as brands like Balenciaga and Adidas severed ties with him, and Forbes downgraded his net worth from billionaire status to $400 million, citing the loss of his contract with the sports apparel giant as a significant factor.

On November 25, Kanye West declared his candidacy for the 2024 US presidential election, and his campaign was marred by repeated instances of anti-Semitic rhetoric. He also sparked concern by forming associations with controversial figures Donald Trump and Nick Fuentes, further fueling criticism and scrutiny of his views.

In December 2022, Kanye West was suspended from Twitter for the second time after appearing on Alex Jones‘ InfoWars show, where he made pro-Hitler comments while wearing a black face covering, sparking outrage and prompting Twitter to take action against him for promoting harmful and offensive content.
