Baywatch” star Nicole Eggert, 51, reveals she’s facing a new challenge: breast cancer. Diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma in early December 2023, Eggert is taking on her toughest role yet with courage and determination.

The 51-year-old actress had been experiencing symptoms such as a 25-pound weight gain in just three months and excruciating pain in her left breast, which she initially attributed to early menopause. However, upon discovering a lump during a self-exam, she scheduled a doctor’s appointment, which led to a mammogram and three biopsies.

Unfortunately, the pathology reports confirmed her worst fears: she had stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer. In an interview with People, Eggert shared the challenges she has faced, stating, “It really was throbbing and hurting. I immediately went to my general practitioner, and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn’t get an appointment.

Everything was booked. So I had to waituntil the end of November to get it done.” Eggert acknowledged that her journey has been far from easy, saying, “This journey’s been rough for me. This hasn’t been a breezy sale through life. I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.”

As she prepares for surgery to remove the cancer, Nicole is anxiously awaiting the results, unsure if chemotherapy and radiation will be necessary and worried about the potential spread of the disease. Having seen her parents, including her father who battled skin cancer and her mother who fought colon cancer, go through similar struggles, Eggert is especially concerned about being there for her two daughters, Keegan (12) and Dilyn (25), whom she shares with ex-husband Justin Herwick.
