Cruise Ship Passengers Stranded at Sea Brace for Impact Following Huge Wave and Engine Failure

A newly released video shows passengers onboard the MS Maud cruise ship preparing for a potential crash due to fierce winds and massive waves that caused a power failure on the vessel.

In the video, frightened passengers wearing life jackets can be seen holding onto tables while looking around fearfully as massive waves, reportedly as high as 70 feet, hit the ship. One person shouts advice to others, suggesting that getting down on the deck might be a safer option than staying seated at the tables during the chaotic situation.

The video captures the MS Maud being lifted high into the air by massive waves and then plunging into the deep troughs between them, showing the ship’s vulnerability after losing power in the North Sea, an area located east of Great Britain and north of Denmark.

After the power outage, over 260 passengers were instructed to shelter in place, and Danish rescue vessels arrived promptly within 40 minutes. The cruise ship subsequently reached Bremerhaven, Germany, where the passengers received assistance with flight arrangements to London, the intended destination of the cruise line.

It was indeed a frightening situation, but fortunately, it had a positive outcome in the end.
